國際鎂協(xié)于3月17日宣布，由于疫情原因，董事會(huì)決定取消原定今年5月13-15日在日本福岡舉行的第77屆世界鎂業(yè)大會(huì)。
以下是國際鎂協(xié)主席給業(yè)界人士的致信：
Dear IMA Members and Magnesium Industry Stakeholders,親愛的國際鎂協(xié)會(huì)員及鎂行業(yè)利益相關(guān)者：
Given the ongoing concerns about the COVID-19 pandemic, IMA is canceling the 2020 conference scheduled for 13-15 May 2020. We will process refunds for those who had registered for the conference. The IMA Board of Directors will continue to monitor the situation and consider options for rescheduling the 77th Annual conference to the later in the year if conditions improve.考慮到目前對(duì)COVID -19疫情的擔(dān)憂，國際鎂協(xié)決定取消原定于2020年5月13日至15日舉行的第77屆世界鎂業(yè)大會(huì)和國際鎂協(xié)年會(huì)。我們將為那些已經(jīng)注冊(cè)參加會(huì)議的人辦理退款手續(xù)。同時(shí)，國際鎂協(xié)董事會(huì)將繼續(xù)監(jiān)測情況，如果情況改善，將會(huì)考慮將第77屆年會(huì)改期至今年晚些時(shí)候舉行的備選方案。
